Eczacıbaşı Group, which continued its investment move that it started in 2022, the 80th anniversary of the Republic, doubled its tissue production capacity in its factory in Manisa with an investment of 65 million Euros. With the new investment, Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri's total tissue paper production capacity reached 250 thousand tons.
Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri, one of the organizations within the Eczacıbaşı Group, has realized its 65 million Euro paper machine investment in its Manisa factory. With the new investment, the capacity of the Manisa factory doubled, and the total tissue paper production capacity of Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri increased to 250 thousand tons. With this investment, the amount of investments made by the Eczacıbaşı Group in the last two years has exceeded EUR 700 million.
Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri, which pioneered the development of personal hygiene habits and the growth of the market by introducing tissue paper to Turkey, will reinforce its leadership in the branded market in Turkey thanks to its capacity increase, while also increasing its exports within the scope of its internationalization plans.

Stating that Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri has grown continuously since 1969, when it established the first tissue paper factory in Turkey, and that it has become a company that opens up to international markets with the strength it receives from the Eczacıbaşı Group, Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri CEO Bülent Kozlu said:
“Excluding non-home use, the Turkish tissue paper market, which has reached a size of 11.5 billion TL, has the highest share in the personal care category. Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri is currently the leading company in the branded tissue paper category with a 22 percent market share. Today, we are happy to realize our 5th paper machine production line investment, which will further strengthen our position. With our 5th paper machine, which we have commissioned with an investment of 65 million Euros, we double our production capacity in our Manisa factory and increase our total capacity by 40 percent to 250 thousand tons. when we include the new investment we will make, We will have made a total investment of 110 million Euros in the 3-year period covering 2022-2024. In addition, while this investment will increase our exports, it will also feed our Moroccan factory with the coils it produces. We are proud to add value to our country with our investments, production, employment and exports.”
The new investment also supports sustainability goals
Eczacıbaşı Tüketim Ürünleri's 5th paper machine production line investment also supports the company's sustainability focus, aiming to produce more efficiently with less energy.
The new investment, implemented by using advanced automation systems and innovative artificial intelligence technologies that increase energy and water savings; It contributes to raising the production and sustainability standards of the Manisa factory to the highest possible level, especially on issues such as quality, efficiency, occupational health and safety.
After the drying process, which is one of the most important stages in the paper production process, the waste heat discharged from the chimney is reused, resulting in an improvement of up to 10 percent per ton in production. With the energy savings it provides, the system reduces the amount of natural gas use and reduces CO2 emissions.
