Attend a Free OSHA Updates Webinar on Wednesday, January 16

On Wednesday, January 16, 2024 from 2-3:00pm EST, the pre-eminent industry safety association, PPSA, is offering a free webinar on upcoming implementations planned by OSHA in 2024. Eric Hobbs, an attorney and strategic advisor at Ogletree Deakins, will present. There is no fee to attend, but registration is required. A registration link is also available on the ppsa.org homepage.

Webinar attendees will learn about OSHA’s enforcement trends including the expansion of the severe violator enforcement program to include more employers, its new and renewed national emphasis programs used to justify and expand inspections, and its controversial heat illness standard and proposed “walk-around rule” which allows third-parties who don’t represent the employer’s employees to participate in inspections as if they do.

Hobbs chairs Ogletree Deakins’ 68-lawyer Workplace Safety and Health Practice Group, one of the nation's leading law firms representing employers in labor and employment matters. He is a Past Employer Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Workplace and Occupational Safety and Health Law Committee, and frequently writes and speaks to employer groups, attorneys and judges around the country. He has also testified before Congress on OSHA issues of national interest.
