Cascades is pleased to announce the creation of a mural on one of its Kingsey Falls plants to mark its 60th anniversary in 2024. It will be painted this summer by Sherbrooke muralist Nicolas Lareau.
This undertaking is part of Cascades’ commitment to getting involved in the communities where it operates in an effort to enhance its surrounding environments. Cascades chose its Kingsey Falls plant in the heart of the municipality where it was founded in 1964 as the location for the mural.
“It was only natural for us to work with a local artist to create a mural in Kingsey Falls, the company’s birthplace. Our 60th anniversary is an opportunity to showcase our values and culture, and that’s what we want this art project to represent,” says Mario Plourde, President and CEO of Cascades.
“I'm very happy to take part in Cascades' celebrations through my work and my art. Cascades is a company I greatly respect for its environmental values and its international reach.,” explains muralist Nicolas Lareau.
A second mural project is also planned for the Cascades plant in Candiac later this year.
