Xuan Mai Paper Commissions 25,000 tpy TM in Vietnam

According to Fastmarkets RISI, Xuan Mai Paper has fired up a new 25,000 metric tpy tissue machine at its sole mill in Ho Chi Minh city, the capital of Vietnam. Commercial production kicked off on Wednesday July 3 after trial runs for about two weeks, a company executive told Fastmarkets.

The Andritz-supplied TM features a width of 2.85 meters and a design speed of 1,800 meters per minute. It could be fed with either 100% virgin wood pulp or 100% de-inked pulp. The newly started TM is Xuan Mai Paper’s second tissue production line.

The first one, which was also supplied by Andritz, was commissioned at the Ho Chi Minh mill in December 2020. It has a capacity of 20,000 tpy.
