Perini ECOre, system is a new technology which enhances Valmet’s sustainable product range, enabling the creation of coreless toilet paper rolls.
Perini ECOre offers various benefits for the tissue industry: sustainability, cost efficiency, high performances, operational flexibility and the ability to swiftly adapt to the constantly evolving market demands. More in depth, the ability to produce coreless rolls, results in significant savings on raw materials, including glue, leading to a reduced environmental impact. A further strength is its versatility: the system can be easily integrated into existing consumer product lines, allowing companies to switch between producing coreless rolls and rolls with cores. A plus which offers companies the possibility to answer promptly to market demand variations, without investing in new lines, extending or replacing existing ones. Moreover, the compact layout of the system makes it ideal for new installations, since it allows for optimizing the available space thanks to its minimal footprint.
Perini ECOre utilizes the well-established Perini mandrel system, traditionally employed in industrial lines and specifically updated for consumer lines, guaranteeing both high performance in terms of the required logs/min and the quality of the finished product. The mandrels are inserted into the rewinder before the winding phase, replacing the traditional cardboard core. From that point, the production process continues identically until the logs reach the accumulator, where an extraction system removes the mandrels from the log and transfers them to the accumulator, allowing production to continue. The entire process is carried out without stopping or compressing the log on its surface, thereby preserving the properties of the final product. Once extracted, the mandrels are returned to the rewinder through an independent path to be reutilized for a new log, supporting a continuous and efficient production cycle.
During the month of September, the Valmet Tissue Innovation Days featured a series of webinars showcasing Valmet’s latest innovations for the tissue industry. One of the highlights was the launch of the Perini ECOre system on 25th September.
The webinar took place in two time slots with Daniele Vannucci, Development Mechanical Design Coordinator at Valmet, presented an in-depth overview of the advanced features of Perini ECOre. Back to Tissue360 Newsletter |
