Don’t worry, you didn’t miss the eagerly awaited (and long overdue) announcement of a worldwide celebration of tissue.

But you may miss this once-a-year opportunity to finetune your unique tissue skills if you don’t keep reading.

Each May, TAPPI offers tissue-specific courses designed to help industry newcomers and seasoned professionals deepen understanding of production processes, develop new skills, enhance intermediate-level abilities, and hone specialized training in tissue converting. Participants leave equipped to tackle manufacturing challenges, optimize processes and achieve greater operational success.

The trio of 2025 courses kick off the first week in May at TAPPICon in Minneapolis, Minn., with Tissue 101: Properties and Processes offering a comprehensive introduction to tissue manufacturing and its key components. Designed for engineers, sales staff, management, and anyone new to the industry, T101 is also an excellent refresher for seasoned tissue pros.

The second week in May features Tissue 201: Operations and Runnability in Neenah, Wis. If you need to take your skills up a notch, this intermediate-level curriculum delves into best practices for improving tissue machine efficiency, enhancing product softness, and increasing overall production. Engineers, machine supervisors, operators, suppliers, and technical professionals with a focus on tissue grades benefit from attending.

Closing out the final course offering in the third week of May is Tissue 202: Converting Operations in Green Bay, Wis. T202 offers specialized training in the converting processes of rolled tissue products and highlights how parent jumbo reels and soft rolls impact the efficiency and runnability of converting lines. Attendees working in operations, engineering and quality assurance and who are seeking a holistic understanding of the converting process will benefit.
