Georgia-Pacific, Atlanta, Ga., USA, announced this past week that its Professional group's enMotion brand of touchless paper towel dispensers has received the Best Marketing Innovation of the Decade Award, presented by Georgia State University's Robinson College of Business and the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
The Robinson College of Business Department of Marketing and the Atlanta-based business publication annually recognize Georgia companies for marketing innovations by presenting the Marketing Award for Excellence – the MAX Awards. The enMotion dispenser first received a MAX Award in 2004, with special recognition of the positive effect that the dispenser had in improving public health and hygiene. In 2005, G-P's consumer products business also received a MAX Award for the launch of its redesigned Brawny brand of paper towels.
"We are honored to receive this award because it recognizes the fact that we have a great product brand in enMotion that has truly made an impact in the marketplace," said Bill Sleeper, president of Georgia-Pacific Professional. "Through the growth we've experienced, we know that our customers and consumers recognize the benefits of our enMotion touchless dispensers (better public health and wellness, reduced waste, and enhanced image)."
The enMotion towel dispenser is also a part of G-P Professional's Green by Design program, a designation that highlights products that contribute to source reduction and help customers attain LEED certification. The dispenser helps facilities promote sustainable business practices that lead to cost-savings by reducing waste accumulation by up to 30%.
