Cascades Tissue Orders New Winder for Pittston, Pa., Plant

Cascades Tissue Group, Canada, has purchased a new rewinder from Fabio Perini, Italy, to be installed at its tissue plant in Pittston, Pa., USA. The new rewinder is a "Mile 5.1" model.

Suzanne Blanchet, president and CEO at Cascades Tissue Group, noted that "Cascades has been manufacturing paper tissue in the U.S. for more than 20 years. To face the growing demand from retailers for our private labels, which are made almost entirely of recycled fiber, we decided to modernize our plant by investing $8 million towards the acquisition of a new rewinder,"
