APP China Plans 12 New Tissue Machines with Combined Capacity of 240,000 Metric TPY

APP China has decided to add 12 more tissue machines with a combined capacity of 240,000 metric tpy to its ongoing tissue paper expansion plan in China. The 12 new machines will be erected at the company‘s pulp and paper complex in Haikou city on the country‘s southernmost island of Hainan, according to a report published by Gold East Paper Co., Jiangsu, China.
Two out of the 12 new tissue machines are slated to come online later this year and the remaining 10 are expected to be commissioned in 2013, according to a senior executive at APP China. The 12 machines will be identical, each having a width of 2.8 m, a design speed of 1,600 m/min, and a capacity of 20,000 metric tpy.
APP China‘s subsidiary, Jin Shun Paper Machinery, will assemble all of the units, with key components such as headboxes, steel yankee dryers, and hoods to be provided mainly by European manufacturers.
