Vinda, a branded seller and manufacturer of tissue paper products in China and Hong Kong, has awarded an order to Toscotec, Italy, for eight new tissue machines. Toscotec's scope for each of the new lines includes a MODULO Plus ES crescent former tissue machine with single-layer headbox, double press configuration, Steel Yankee Dryer (TT SYD 12FT), steam and condensate system, control, and machine drives systems. Mills services are also included in the scope of supply.
Machine speed will be up to 1,300 m/min, with a net trim width of 2,700 mm. All of the machines will come on stream between the third quarter of 2012 and first half of 2013. Part of the supply for the Vinda machines will come from Toscotec Asia & Pacific, a new manufacturing plant based in the Zibo-Zhangdian District, Shandong.
Toscotec notes that the new-concept, energy saving lines will maximize the contribution of the Steel Yankee Dryer to the drying process and guarantee the highest evaporation at the lowest energy consumption and carbon footprint.
The Vinda Group's principal products include toilet roll, pocket tissue paper, facial tissue paper, table napkins, and wet wipes, etc. At the end of 2011, the company had seven production facilities in the PRC, with a total annual production capacity of 470,000 metric tons.
