Explosion Proof LED Light Designed for Wet Industrial Conditions
Larson Electronics, Kemp, Texas, USA, has released a new weatherproof, explosion proof LED light designed for use in demanding wet industrial environments. The
EPLC2-LED-150W-RT LED Hazardous Area Light Fixture produces 12,000 lumens of intense lighting. It provides operators with a powerful and efficient lighting alternative capable of providing reliable performance under wet and demanding industrial operating conditions.
This high power LED light fixture consumes only 150 watts of power to produce 12,000 lumens of light, making it far more powerful and efficient than any standard incandescent light bulb. The high strength aluminum body is IP68 rated waterproof, suitable for marine applications, and specially designed with high efficiency heat dissipating fins to promote maximum LED operating life. The LED assembly consists of 12 LEDs producing a total of 12,000 lumens of output in a wide flood pattern, giving this explosion proof light the ability to effectively illuminate the work space. A 0.75-in. NPT wiring conduit provides access for power connections, and mounting options include a pendant for suspended mounting and an adjustable bracket for flat surface mounting.
The LED light fixture is multi-voltage capable and can be run with voltages ranging of 120, 208, 240, and 277 VAC. Intended for use in wet areas, this explosion proof LED light has Class 1 Division 2, Groups C and D, Class 2 Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E,F,G, and UL 844 approvals. The explosion proof LED light is an ideal alternative to hot running incandescent and HID fixtures that offers instant-on operation with no warm up times, cooler operation, 60,000 lamp operating life, and the ability to withstand wet and abusive industrial work conditions, the company notes.
