Shanghai Welfare Fires up New TM in Zhejiang, China

Shanghai Welfare Group has kicked off trial production on a new 13,000-metric tpy tissue PM at its mill in Shaoxing city, Zhejiang province, China. Provided by Kawanoe Zoki, the unit has a trim width of 2.76 m and a design speed of 850 m/min. It is the sixth Kawanoe Zoki-supplied tissue PM to have come on stream at the site. The fifth was an identical unit, and was commissioned in 2016.

According to Fox11, Georgia-Pacific's Broadway paper mill in Green Bay has been recognized for using less energy. The federal Environmental Protection Agency awarded the manufacturing site its Energy Star Award for lowering its energy use by 10 percent in five years.
