APCO scholarships are now open for applications! The APCO Silent Key and Commercial Partner Scholarship Program provides the opportunity for emergency communications professionals to participate in industry-leading certification training programs and professional development courses to better serve their communities and first responders. Submit your applications by the deadlines below:

Nominate a hero in your life for an APCO Emergency Communications Center Award or Technology Leadership Award. These awards honor those who have demonstrated the highest level of personal and professional conduct in public safety communications as well as ECCs for their use of technological advancements and the demonstrated benefit conferred on employees and the citizens they serve. The deadline to submit nominations is April 1.

The training includes working together on scenarios that capture real-world experiences. Available in the APCO Virtual Classroom on February 15-16 or as an online course on February 1-21 or March 1-21. Worth 16 CDEs.

Silent Key
APCO Life Member Donald Ray Whitney of Barrington, Illinois, passed away December 28 at the age of 74. Whitney enjoyed a long tenure in public safety communications for Motorola and was a longstanding member of the Commercial Advisory Council (CAC), including service on the APCO Board of Directors (2009-2013).
