APCO recently released a new cybersecurity course—Intermediate Cybersecurity Principles for the ECC—a two-day, in-person course that provides multiple tabletop exercises and demonstrations of infiltration techniques. It also provides an understanding of a hacker's perspectives, motives and weaknesses. Discussions also include incident response, network vulnerability and mitigation planning for cyberattacks. The course will take place March 28-29 at APCO headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida. Successful completion of the APCO foundation course Cybersecurity Fundamentals for the ECC is required to attend (the next course is February 7 in the APCO Virtual Classroom).
