On April 27 and May 1, APCO and others met with the Offices of Chairwoman Rosenworcel and Commissioners Carr, Starks and Simington to discuss steps the Commission can take to protect incumbent operations from harmful interference from unlicensed use of the 6 GHz band. The groups, representing public safety, critical infrastructure and enterprise users of the band, provided the FCC with a reasonable path forward for protecting public safety and other incumbents while permitting spectrum sharing with unlicensed Wi-Fi devices, as outlined in a joint letter the organizations filed in March.
