Each year the second week in April is known as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and a chance for the over 100,000 public safety telecommunicators working in emergency communications centers (ECCs) across the globe to be recognized for the lifesaving work they provide to more than 240 million callers every year.

Register now for Nexus 2024, taking place May 29-30 in National Harbor, Maryland, for real-life scenarios and after-action report-style discussions. Prior scenarios included Hurricane Ida impacting Louisiana, a multiple vehicle accident in Washington, D.C., and more. On September 11, 2023, in what appeared to be a malicious attack on the REJIS system (a provider of data processing server and online information systems for law enforcement, prosecutors, courts, correctional institutions, probation and parole agencies at the federal, state, county and local levels), agencies’ law enforcement printers were re-routed to Troop C. By doing so this accounted for over 120 agencies having their administrative messages and hit confirmation requests/responses forwarded to Troop C communications.
