- Federal Partners: Hear from important APCO partners, including FirstNet, the FCC and NTIA as well as APCO’s advocacy team.
- Mastering Media & Public Engagement: This track focuses on key areas, such as social media management, public education and media communication.

CPE is APCO’s highly regarded executive leadership program, developed specifically for those in the emergency communications industry. Congratulations to Dionne Tomkins of the Sarasota County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office for her recognition as this week's Teammates-in-Action. Tomkins was recognized for her actions as a telecommunicator when a bank robbery was reported to dispatch. Tomkins controlled the incident and the heavy radio traffic flawlessly. She created a perimeter for the scene and documented where units were positioned. When she saw an area of the perimeter that did not have coverage, she quickly advised the units and got the gap covered. Read more
