Palmer Snyder was first established in 1919 as the Snyder Chair Co., a manufacturer of Appalachian hardwood folding chairs. The Versatran Retriever concept was developed by Joe Simons in 2002. He recognized a need for an easier and more efficient method to load and transport various types of equipment.
