CRA’s 4th Wednesday Rental Workshop is scheduled for March 26, 2025, from 2:30-4 p.m. via Zoom.  The workshop will be presented by Colin Sueyres from Western Propane Gas Association and Julie Johnson from Ted Johnson Propane.

Forklifts and Propane Versus California
As forklift fleet operators, dealers, and fuel suppliers make equipment investments and staffing decisions for the years ahead, it would be critical to have guidance on how CARB intends to move forward on ZEF implementation given that it could take years for EPA to authorize the regulations.

The training in this FREE MEMBER BENEFIT runs an hour. Participants have a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card during the drawing held at the end of the workshop.

Join us at CRA's Greater LA/Orange Territory Meeting on April 17, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. LGP Rentals in Santa Ana will host the party. Click on "Learn more" for information and to register for the event. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Here’s a look at how workers' comp legislation and rates are trending nationally.

Workers’ Compensation Rate Cuts:
For 2025, the National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) recommended a 6.1% overall average reduction in workers’ compensation premium rates for the voluntary market. This reduction aligns with the ongoing trend of decreasing rates, reflecting enhanced workplace safety measures and fewer claims.
Mental Injury-Related Legislation:

NCCI monitored 86 bills addressing workers’ compensation for workplace-related mental injuries, including 71 related to PTSD. The focus remains on coverage for first responders, but some states are expanding coverage to additional workers. Connecticut led the way by extending eligibility for workers’ compensation benefits for post-traumatic stress injuries to all employees covered by the workers’ compensation law. Other states such as Idaho, Missouri, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington have enacted similar legislation. These bills establish coverage for PTSD and other psychological injuries, expand coverage to more employee types, and create a presumption of compensability for PTSD.
