The votes are in and industry experts have chosen Wacker Neuson’s ACBe Battery-Powered Backpack Concrete Vibrator as a Most Innovative Product (MIP) for 2020. The annual award program honors innovative products designed for all segments of the concrete industry. The nominated products are showcased to World of Concrete attendees, readers of Concrete Construction magazine and visitors to concreteconstruction.net. The ACBe Battery-Powered Backpack Vibrator received the Experts Choice MIP award in the Concrete Construction Equipment category. The Experts Choice award is determined by an invited group of industry professionals who review all the nominees.

As the newest battery-powered product offered by Wacker Neuson, the cordless ACBe backpack vibrator system is ideal for indoor and outdoor consolidation of concrete with or without reinforcing steel. The heart of the ACBe backpack vibrator is Wacker Neuson’s BP1000 lithium-ion battery, which is the exact same battery that powers the company’s zero emission AS50e and AS60e battery rammers and the AP1840e and AP1850e vibratory plates. The battery is easily inserted into the converter backpack without the need for any special tools, and because there is no cord, the operator has flexibility and mobility to move around the job site. By running on battery power, as opposed to a gasoline engine, the operator is no longer exposed to heat, exhaust fumes and engine noise.
