MTA Distributors Expands to Southwest with Acquisition of Tru-Power
MTA Distributors LLC, has acquired Tru-Power Inc. in Corona, CA, and assumed operations of the West Coast facility on July 1, 2020. Tru-Power has been a long-time industry leader in distributing Honda Engines and Power Equipment as well as other well-known manufacturers such as Maruyama and Ground Hog. In 1984, MTA became a part of the Honda Engines and Power Equipment distribution network, servicing the state of Tennessee. With this recent acquisition, MTA now represents Honda in Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Southern California, Southern Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico.
MTA has also been a leader in the rental industry, offering and supporting commercial grade products to rental operators throughout the U.S. With this new West Coast presence, MTA will bring its wide variety of resources to the Corona, CA facility, which now positions MTA closer to its customers to enable faster delivery time of units, parts, and accessories to the Southwest and West Coast.
Mark Preston, company president, says “We strive every day to deliver legendary customer service to our thousands of customers. While we represent over 200 different manufacturers, we like to say that Honda is the heart of MTA. This expansion gives us the opportunity to combine MTA and Tru-Power’s years of Honda experience to serve our customers coast to coast.”
