Rental Rally 2022 Attendee/Potential Attendee Feed Back

This month we asked members to review CRA’s 2022 Equipment and Party Rental Rally Tradeshow, held Jan. 24-26, 2022, at the South Point Casino Hotel & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you have an idea for a survey for CRA members, please send your request to CRA at Info@CalRental.org.

3. What was your overall opinion of the 2022 CRA Rental Rally Tradeshow?

1. I thought it was better than “just ok” but not great. Party was a little soft.
2. Low attendance.
3. It was my first time attending the rally and a trade show in general and it was absolutely amazing and informational! So happy I attended!
4. Everything went smooth! Very well organized.
5. Good discussions with vendors.
6. This was my 1st CRA show and I assumed it would be a little larger.
7. It was sad not to see as many people.

3. I offered to pay 50% of Jon Taffers speaking fee, I never got response or acknowledgement communication was received.
4. We registered onsite and it took about 30 minute to get our badges.

3. That is a bit harsh, I drove in from Santa Cruz on Monday and didn’t make it in time for the seminars, but I did make it to the cocktail party, which I did enjoy.

1. It was the “coolest,” so much fun.
2. Excavator basketball was super fun! I really enjoyed the hold it down demonstration.

5. I wish you would have had all the majors out there with let’s say 8,000 excavators to demo, really demo and dig.

1. I understand the restrictions placed on venues, regarding food, but the steak was just over well done. Not to my liking, but I also know that I wasn’t the only person there.
2. I don’t like waste. I would have setup so attendees make option for chicken or beef with registration. There was no way I could eat both options, and it feels wasteful/stressful. I don’t see the coasters where taken either. Most left on tables.

26. What did you think of the comedian/magician?

2. We’ve been attending from the beginning, I see no reason to start missing them now.

29. Do you have any suggestions to improve our show?
1. Get rid of COVID and the show will be better.

3. More vendors on party side.
4. Advertising campaign, possible telethon.
5. Keep it going. There is something very important about bringing this group together. The CYRP is onto something.
6. More hands on demonstrations.
7. If possible, I would suggest returning to either Top Golf or to The Hofbrau House or both :) Those two venues really seem to attract a larger crowd of both vendors and rental professionals.
8. I appreciate the effort and work that goes into the show.
9. More new vendors.
10. Cocktail party 16:00-19:00. Last day of show 08:00-12:00.

30. You indicated that you are not considering attending the 2023 Rental Rally. Why not?
There are no responses.

31. How can we better serve you?
1. The CRA is great, could not ask for more.
2. Right now your doing a great job considering the limited staff you have.
3. Get rid of the restrictions.

1. It was an absolutely fantastic show!!! And the social media posts are fantastic!!
2. Why was there nothing on the CYRP? Why was the CYRP stuff not on the CRA Show calendar? No questions in survey? Did you attend the CYRP breakfast? Was it worth your time? Why have the CYRP if there is never any support for it?
3. Thank you for all of your hard work in keeping this organization together.
4. I can only see improvements in the future, because 2022 has been such a COVID s* show. That being said, of course I would have loved to see more vendors - know that there were lots of them that backed out because of the restrictions/concerns, so I see no fault there.
5. I find that the last Wednesdays webinars are very helpful.
