Finding Employees

This month we asked members about finding employees. If you have an idea for a survey for CRA members, please send your request to CRA at Info@CalRental.org.

3. Of the ones you have selected above, which is your favorite source? Please give us a few words as to why.

3. Word of mouth. The other two brought me no applicants since Covid.

6. To be honest, we haven’t had much more success with one more than an other. We seem to be plagued in this area with potential employees that either want more money for an entry level position or quit within the first week.
7. We used to prefer option I; however, with the limitations on hydraulics we are no longer allowed to explore part of that option. When you can get them into the shop younger, you are able to mold them with a higher degree of work ethic and skill.

9. Word of mouth brings us the best candidates. Indeed is worthless. EDD is useful but not always successful.
10. None...we have had zero luck finding qualified applicants that want to work.

3. We offer a referral bonus to existing employees who recommend a new hire that lasts for a specific time.
