5. How do you charge for propane?
By the gallon: 69% (20 responses)
Flat fee: 3% (1 responses)

1. 4.5 gallon minimum, then by the gallon.
2. Some stores can sell by the gallon, others have to sell by the pound.
3. No minimum.
4. When the tanks are old, it’s cheaper to buy new ones then fix them.
5. We just refill tanks, we don’t exchange.

1. Re: question 4: We use a different provider for tank exchange on out-of-date tanks. Our propane
provider does not offer that service.
2. With tank swap programs everywhere including CVS drug stores, propane is not as profitable as it
was.
