Edward Francis Dobbs, of AAA Rentals in Redwood City, passed away February 22, 2017. Ed started his career at AAA Rentals as general manager in 1985. Through the years, he helped build the small business into one of the most successful rental companies in the Bay Area. After 30 years, Ed became owner of AAA Rentals, working alongside his two sons and several faithful employees.

This Week in Petroleum – March 8, 2017: A new study, commissioned by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), finds that changes in North American energy markets over the past decade have strengthened the supply of transportation fuels including motor gasoline, distillates and jet fuel in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. Charles Crumpley, editor and publisher of the San Fernando Valley Business Journal, elaborated on a recent study concerning California's infrastructure budget in a recent article on Fox&Hounds. According to a report last year from the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities, among all states, California spends the lowest percent of its budget on infrastructure. California invested only 3.3 percent of its budget in 2013 on infrastructure, one of only three states that spent less than 4 percent. Texas, the most comparable state in size and population, spent almost twice as much, at 6.4 percent.
