Workers Compensation terms can seem arcane and legalistic. Although there are many special terms used in workers compensation insurance, these are basic. Though there are variations in terminology and procedure in every state, these definitions are widely used.
Cybersecurity is the protection of computer systems from theft or damage to their hardware, software or electronic data, as well as from disruption or misdirection of the services they provide. CRA thanks Gabe Marquez from the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) for his contribution of a series of articles on Cybersecurity. He received the articles from a presentation given by FBI Agent Scott Augenbaum during the 2018 National Cargo Theft Summit. All articles are available to view here in the Cybersecurity section on the Public Resources tab. Over the next several months, we will be presenting different articles. This month we have an article about Cybercriminals, Payroll Division.

Dear Valued Customer,
This letter is to inform you that H.G. Makelim Co. (Makelim) is selling its business to two separate industrial engine distributors effective February 28, 2019. H.G. Makelim Co. has been in business for 97 years and owned by my family for 63 years. It was a very difficult decision to sell the company after our long history in the industry. However, I am confident it is the right decision for our employees, our suppliers, PES, AIE, and most importantly…you, our valued customer. It has been a privilege doing business with you over the years and thank you very much for your loyalty and support.

JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, officially kicked off its year-long 50th anniversary celebration on January 9, 2019, marking a half-century since its founder spearheaded the access industry with the introduction of the world’s first boom lift, commonly referred to as JLG 1. On January 9, 1969, John L. Grove rallied a small group of people around one big idea—create a safer way to work at height. This seed idea came to life with the introduction of the first aerial work platform. Grove’s passion for safety and his pioneering spirit continue to be carried out today by more than 6,000 JLG employees around the world.
JLG Industries, Inc. has announced its “Crews Across America” sweepstakes, a contest designed in the company’s 50th year to celebrate the hard-working crews from coast to coast who use aerial work platforms and telescopic handlers.
