Garcia’s Kitchen in Albuquerque, NM, is owned by CRA board member Steve Garcia, who also owns Garcia Tent Rentals. A photo showing Garcia’s Kitchen set up for outdoor dining was used to announce Albuquerque’s new “Outdoor Dining Grant Funding Program.” With state public health order restrictions on indoor dining, many local cafes, restaurants and breweries are struggling to stay open. Outdoor dining and patio spaces are keeping many businesses from going under, and on July 18, Albuquerque's Mayor Keller announced a new grant program to help restaurants, cafes and breweries build outdoor dining space.

CRA will be celebrating its Diamond Jubilee in 2021. Your stories and photos show where we came from and are wanted for upcoming publications and events. We especially would like to see “Then and Now” photos of your store, equipment and rental families. Photos should be in a high resolution format suitable for printing. Once a year we need to update your contact information. We want the printed Membership Directory and the Online Membership Directory to be accurate. We encourage you to log into the Members Only section of www.CalRental.org and review your membership information in the “My Profile” section. Visit the Online Directory under the Members Only tab to see your listing. If you have not logged into the new website yet, you will need to click the “Forgot your Password?” link under the login fields and get a temporary password emailed to you. We will be sending the data to our publisher in October so please log in, review and update your contact information by September 15.

According to a survey put out by health industry guru and strategist Joe Paduda, the workers' compensation system could see a 20 percent decrease in new injury claims this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. In late May, Paduda’s consultancy firm Health Strategy Associates asked 35 workers' compensation professionals representing large state funds and insurers, third-party administrators, and large self-insured and self-administered employers about their expectations of workers' compensation costs amid the pandemic.
