The Phil Maxwell Memorial Manly Man Fishing Tournament, a CRA fund raiser for RSIF, has been rescheduled AGAIN! Join us October 13-15, 2023, on the Kern River for some fishing and camaraderie while raising funds for RSIF! PDQ Rentals has officially acquired Pauley Equipment Co., an outstanding company in its own right. With this acquisition, PDQ will be able to better serve customers with an expanded and more powerful network of sales and rentals throughout more of California.

   Pauley Equipment Co. has an amazing history, with roots dating back to the early 1980s. Founded by the Pauley family, the company grew to three locations in Riverside and San Diego counties through will, determination, hard work, and friendly service. Credit for the company’s growth is also due to an experienced and knowledgeable group of dedicated employees. PDQ now proudly welcomes these employees to the PDQ family!

   In addition to adding more locations, PDQ has acquired the Kubota dealerships in southern Riverside and San Diego counties and is rebranding Pauley Equipment as Kubota of Temecula and Kubota of San Diego. PDQ is proud to represent the Kubota brand in these counties in addition to being the exclusive Takeuchi dealer in Los Angeles and Orange counties.

   PDQ is gearing up rental fleets in their new locations in Temecula, Escondido, and Vista, and along with with their current locations in Santa Fe Springs, Sun Valley, and Corona, the company now has six rental locations to serve its customers. PDQ's portfolio also includes two Kubota dealerships and two Takeuchi dealerships.

According to Statista, a global data and business intelligence platform, the percentage of employees covered by self-funded workers compensation plans increased from 44% in 1999 to a record high of 67% in 2020. Two years later, during the height of the pandemic, that figure had decreased slightly to 65% in 2022, but the trend for employers to self-insure is still on the rise.

   Most companies purchase workers compensation coverage from traditional providers, either through a private insurance company or from a state-owned insurance company. You pay your premiums, and your insurer takes care of handling and paying all claims, and it bears all financial risk. Self-insurance is an alternative that has become increasingly popular among larger employers.
