Take Those 3 Steps to Enter Your Project!

If you've thought about entering one of your projects in the SPFA National Contractor Industry Excellence Award, now is the time to cement that decision. Applications are currently being accepted for projects completed after Nov. 21, 2014, and the awards are only open SPFA members (contact Billy Harley at 571-814-3685 with membership questions). Then take these three steps to enter:

1. Decide which project(s) you're going to enter.
2. Head to www.sprayfoam.org to check out the Tips on Winning.
3. Use our online application forms to nominate your best project(s).

Nominations for the Contractor Awards are due Dec. 4, 2015.

Winners will be announced Feb. 10, 2016, when SPFA sponsors the Industry Excellence Awards Luncheon as part of the Sprayfoam 2016 Convention & Expo.

There will be awards in several categories for projects that demonstrate excellence in our industry. A panel of industry experts will adjudicate the selection process through a blind judging process. Judges will not know to whom each of the entries belong, therefore the judging will be solely based on the merit of the project according to awards guidelines.

2015 Contractor Award Winners

The 2015 winners were revealed and recognized during the 10th Annual Contractor Awards Luncheon at Sprayfoam 2015. Winners received a crystal award, pop-up banner and press kit assisting them in promoting their win within their local markets and media. Many of the projects are featured in SPRAYFOAM Professional magazine.

These are the five award categories and the winners from 2015:

Residential Wall
Winner: A New Millennium for Adobe House (scheduled for Winter 2015)
Runner-up: Arizona Foam & Spray for Meerkat Manor

Commercial Wall
Winner: Foam Tech for Spooky Nook Sports
Runner-up: Nunavut Excavating for Nunavut Multiplex

SPF Roof under 40,000 sq.ft.
Winner: Wedge Roofing Inc. for Life-Time Spray Foam Improvement on Historic Residence
Runner-up: Arithane for Cedar House

SPF Roof over 40,000 sq.ft.
Winner: RPC Industries Inc. for Hampton Plaza Shopping Center; formally a G.E. (scheduled for Winter 2015)
Runner-up: Henderson-Johnson Co., Inc. for Northeast Carpenters Private Cllubhouse

Specialty Applications
Winner: Western Pacific Roofing Corp. for Hildebrand Dome Construction Monolithic Dome (scheduled for Spring 2016)
Runner-up: West Roofing Systems, Inc. for Charter School Gym Rehabilitation
