SprayWorks Equipment Group’s Owner and Inventor, Jim Davidson, celebrates 50 years in the polyurethane industry. With a career beginning at the age of 12, while working for his father’s polyurethane equipment company (a Gusmer distributor), Jim has created a diverse background in spray foam and coatings application including; roofs, bridges, roads, parking decks, building envelopes, and more. He continues to work hard to give back to the industry with education and experience through his nine-year-old polyurethane equipment company, SprayWorks Equipment Group.

More than 30 percent energy savings can be achieved using the 2016 version of Standard 90.1, according to recent analysis conducted by Pacific Northwest National Laboratories (PNNL) in support of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Building Energy Codes Program.

The Chemical Activity Barometer (CAB), a leading economic indicator created by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), posted a strong gain in February of 0.4 percent, following a similar 0.4 percent gain in January. This follows a steady 0.3 percent gain every month during the third quarter of 2016. All data is measured on a three-month moving average (3MMA). Accounting for adjustments, the CAB is now up was up 5.0 percent over this time last year, marking its strongest year-over-year performance since September 2010. On an unadjusted basis the CAB climbed 0.1 percent in February, following a 0.5 percent gain in January.

According to the report, the global spray polyurethane foam market was valued at USD 1.30 billion in 2014 and is anticipated to reach USD 1.90 billion by 2020, growing at a CAGR of 7% between 2014 and 2020. In terms of volume, the global spray polyurethane foam market stood at 530 kilo tons in 2014.
