SPFA Joins the PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION COALITION

The mission of the PCC is to inform the state legislative process about voluntary professional certification in the face of state legislative initiatives that would restrict, or even ban certification.

Two industry and credentialing trade associations, the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) will serve as the steering committee. Members of the PCC have been invited to join the kick-off meeting on Wednesday, August 15 and SPFA will be present!

Kelly Marcavage, SPFA’s Director of Certification will be our representative. She will provide updates on the PCC’s work as things develop. If there is a specific question or area of interest for you, please contact Kelly at kmarcavage@sprayfoam.org. It is also important to let her know if there are any legislative or governmental issues in your area which we should be made aware of. Monitoring the legislative activity of 50 states, not to mention local governments, is a monumental task and that is where we need the help of the local industry professionals.
