The Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA), the educational and technical voice to the spray polyurethane foam industry, today announced its newly elected Board of Directors. Representing senior leaders from both the contractor and manufacturer sectors, the 15-member Board includes an Executive Committee and 12 additional voting members.

SPFA exhibited and was invited to speak in the policy session at the 19th Annual Congressional Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Expo held in the Cannon House Office Building, Washington, DC on July 12, 2016. This was a coming-together of the biggest names in government and the biggest names in renewable energy and energy efficiency. SPFA delivered the message that if customers are going to be looking for high performance, energy efficient and sustainable buildings, they are going to be looking for sprayfoam insulation and roofing. Thanks to SPFA Technical Director Rick Duncan, spray polyurethane foam is the subject of quite a few articles in various industry publications. These articles are examples of how SPFA continually educates others about the benefits of SPF and promotes and invests in SPF's future. These articles are also excellent pieces for SPFA members to use for marketing purposes.

We are looking at data showing that many folks have successfully completed some of the requirements needed to become SPFA PCP Certified; however, they haven’t submitted all the information needed to earn the distinguished SPFA PCP Certification. Please let us know what is holding you up. A Working Group is being formed to reach out to those who have begun, but not yet completed certification levels. We’d like to hear from you on what is stopping you from completing the requirements. This same group will also work on retaining and renewing those who are already certified and helping them get to the next level! We look forward to hearing from you. Please direct comments, concerns and questions to Kelly Marcavage at kmarcavage@sprayfoam.org
