SPF Tech

We live at the bottom of an ocean of air. Each of us is carrying around 14.7 pounds per square inch when at the beach in Miami. We are powerful creatures indeed. Imagine carrying around 101,000 Pascals on that beach. Or 1,010 millibars. As elevation increases, the weight of the air we are carrying around decreases. This decrease in weight with elevation is called the lapse rate. Read more here.

Source: bpi.org / Stacey FreedThere’s still time to claim tax credits for work your clients had done in 2013. Be sure to let them know before it’s too late! Be sure to share resources such as the CDC’s information on Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention, energy-saving product ideas from the Huffington Post, and JB Bartowiak’s "Guide to Home Maintenance Oils and Lubricants."

Source: bpi.org / Tom GrandyLike all things in life, if something isn't working there is usually a reason for it. I can't begin to tell you how many times I have been asked, "Tom, the company is growing and sales are up, but rather than making money, we seem to be going farther into debt each month, what’s going on?" After working with contractors for more than 27 years, there are certain things I look for when I perform an onsite company overview. The answer usually falls into one, or more, of the following categories: >Improper Labor Pricing >Not Charging Out All Budgeted Billed Hours >Exceeding Hours Bid on a Job
