The SSPC China Chapter hosted an Application Technical Seminar on May 22, 2019 in Shanghai. Dejin Feng, Secretary of the China Chapter and General Manager of Rader Coatings and his team organized the event.
The event was a huge success with more than 350 participants, exhibitors, and attendees from both industry and academia.
SSPC Headquarters had three of their staff attend the event: Jennifer Merck, Director of Training and Certification, Eric Piotrowski, Business Development Specialist and Myers Liao, Asia Pacific Business Development Representative. Jennifer Merck stated that, “So many people contributed to this phenomenal event which provided unforgettable networking opportunities and educational sessions!”
A banquet was held the evening prior to the event which attracted some 200 attendees. It was an opportunity for sponsors to speak, door prizes and raffles to take place, as well as a wonderful meal and some great networking and photo opportunities.
The conference itself included 28 speakers covering topics related to surface preparation, application technologies and standards, coating technology and more. Speakers included ZhengBin Xu, the Chairman of the SSPC China Chapter, who provided a welcome speech as the host. Major event sponsor Eastman was represented by Cicely Pan who spoke to the large and attentive audience. Mr. Ye Yong from ZPMC, one of the largest construction companies in China also provided an excellent presentation.
The event was also supported by Changyuan County Government, with the county mayor in attendance. SSPC Henan Chapter also provided support and was in attendance.
