SSPC CCI Coming to World of Concrete 2020 Las Vegas

SSPC is happy to announce that for the first time ever it will be bringing its Concrete Coating Inspector course to the World of Concrete trade show in Las Vegas, NV! This year’s four-day WOC trade show will be hosted at the Las Vegas Convention Center. With SSPC’s CCI certification course running from Sunday, Feb. 2 - Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020.

SSPC is excited to be one of the newest additions to WOC’s world-class education and industry training program. This is an opportunity to attend one of the world’s largest concrete events and leave having achieved an inspection level certification that will jump start your career. Concrete is one of the most widely used materials in the world, which makes well-protected concrete the foundation for most of the industrial industry. With concrete being used now more than ever, the need to protect it from deterioration is critical.

The use of coatings to protect structural concrete and other assets has been steadily increasing within the booming growth of the construction industry. Inspectors have become crucial on job sites to ensure quality application and focus on protecting concrete surfaces. SSPC’s Concrete Coating Inspector course covers a host of vital information for individuals interested in pursuing an in-demand career path. Including lectures on planning and providing third-party quality assurance, jobsite inspection, operations safety, inspection of concrete surface preparation and concrete moisture testing. These topics are supplemented by daily classroom workshops using concrete coating inspection instruments for hands on experience. Students learn to observe, assess, document, and report in accordance with specification-invoked inspection hold points.

Students who pass the course will walk away as a Level 1 or Level 2 certified inspector with a deep understanding of concrete coating inspection. As the expanding workforce becomes better trained, so grows the competition for new skilled and educated workers.
