- Guide to Assessing Presence of Coating Adhesion Interference Materials (C.2.22) – The committee will develop a guide for evaluating cleaned surfaces for removal of nonvisible deposits of contaminants that can affect coating adhesion.
- Guide for Partial Blast Cleaning for Maintenance Work (C.2.21) – The committee plans to develop a guide that will include techniques and recommendations for using blast cleaning technology to remove deteriorated coating, rust, and other visible contaminants from a steel surface while allowing tightly adherent intact coating to remain in place (often referred to as “spot blasting”).
- Technology Update on Non-Profiling Surface Preparation Methods – This Technology Update will describe several dry methods of surface preparation which generate minimum amounts of waste and do not create a profile on steel surfaces. Information on each technology and considerations for inspection will be included.
