SSPC is continuously seeking qualified Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to develop and instruct SSPC training and certification programs for the industrial protective coatings industry.
SME’s are an essential part of the successful development and revision of course content and act as primary instructors for SSPC training programs. So what does an SME look like? The experts we seek are business and industry professionals who have at least five years of technical field experience in industrial protective coatings.
SSPC is looking for qualified individuals to serve on upcoming course development and revision projects as well as people to teach the content to students around the world.
Here’s some of what is expected of these volunteers:
- Development/revision meetings are usually conducted online or through teleconference.
- Most SME’s participate in the in-person pilot of the program to evaluate, offer feedback and qualify to instruct.
- Qualified Instructors are sent requests by email for upcoming teaching assignments, are paid a daily rate and compensated for their travel.
If you are interested in becoming an SME or an Instructor, please contact Jennifer Merck, Director of Training and Certification at merck@sspc.org.
