SSPC’s new eCourse, “Using PA-2 Effectively,” is SSPC’s first eCourse that provides students with multimedia content from real-world scenarios. In this course, you will have video instruction from SSPC-PA 2 committee and education committee chairman Bill Corbett on how to use the standard accurately. The video instruction includes information on verification, calibration, and adjustment of both Type 1 and Type 2 dry film thickness gages, spot versus area measurement, how to use the appendices within the standard and more.
Each video will provide an in depth understanding of the content found within the latest version of the SSPC-PA 2 standard. Multiple videos found within the new course were shot at paint application facility Regal Industries, in Donora, PA, to provide learners with real-world scenarios. To reinforce the content, workshops and quizzes will be added throughout to test the learner’s knowledge. This course is designed with the inspector, supervisor, and applicator in mind. We want the students to know the critical components of the standard and reinforce the complexity of the document. SSPC-PA 2 is specified all over the world and using it accurately is critical. This new eCourse supports SSPC’s mission, which is to educate the industry!
