It Was a Great Year for SSPC Training!

It was a great year for SSPC Training! We closed out 2018 with 639 total classes held; an increase from 602 in 2017. Each year, SSPC hosts training and certification programs at publicly offered events, onsite classes and through our approved licensees. This gives coatings professionals in our industry the opportunity to take training at a date and location that works for them.

According to Jennifer Merck, SSPC Director of Training and Certification, “The training programs in 2018 were a great success and exceeded all expectations. SSPC has had a record-breaking year, and we could not have done this without the support of our instructors, training hosts, licensees and our staff.”

As always, the focus of SSPC Training and Certification programs was to provide the students with valuable knowledge and resources that could be used immediately upon their return to the job. SSPC’s students ranged from contractors, consultants, inspectors, engineers, paint/equipment manufacturers, and structure/facility owners.

As an organization, it is SSPC’s goal to provide training and certification programs that are high quality learning opportunities and also easy on the budget. This allows both individuals and companies to achieve training goals at a reasonable cost. In fact, every program currently offered requires six days or fewer to complete – a key feature that minimizes time away from the job.
