leaders, we have the power to transform beliefs about our culture and enhance
profit and productivity by building more cohesion in teams throughout the
business enterprise. Through exploration of different approaches to cultural

In order to be
successful in today’s business environment, it is critical that human resources
professionals are able to show that your contributions are more than task-based,
operational functions. Participants will learn about the numerous opportunities
to influence and impact the business outside of the day-to-day HR
paperwork by outlining specific steps one can take to become a true strategic
partner and develop a basic business acumen. This workshop will highlight the
knowledge, behaviors and attitudes needed to truly be a strategic HR partner
and teach participants to explore relationship connections, organizational
change management and embracing risk.

Is your human
resource plan aligned with your organization’s strategic plan? When your HR
plan cascades from your organization’s goals and objectives, you will be viewed
as a strategic partner with the ability to make a major contribution to the
success of your company. This workshop begins with a hands-on activity to
experience the process of strategic planning. As you experience strategic
planning from your "seat at the table," you will learn how to interpret
information from external sources related to your industry’s business
environment. The second part of this workshop focuses on how to align the human
resources strategic plan with the organization’s strategic plan and how to
execute the strategies you’ve planned.
