So many people are moving to Austin every day. I was one of those people. I have moved to new cities in the past and the best way to become part of your new community is to get involved. As an HR professional, I immediately connected to the Austin Human Resource Management Association and volunteered for the Membership Committee.

I am thrilled with the great connections I have been able to make by meeting people who share my professional passion. The people I have met have helped me learn more about Austin, the HR community, and all of the benefits Austin offers as a city. Also, as a volunteer on the Membership Committee, I have the opportunity to meet both new and current members. Finally, I have found the meetings and educational opportunities to help me keep current on the latest topics in HR. It's been a very rewarding experience.
