To start the day, join us at Legal Round Up to hear from employment law experts in a customized experience that will allow you to get the answers you need on six different hot legal topics. Each speaker will present on a pre-assigned legal topic in a small group setting and provide expert answers to your pressing legal questions before you rotate to the next topic area. You will return to the office better informed and prepared to ensure compliance.

 

This event also includes registration to the DallasHR June Monthly Luncheon, during which Sterling Miller, JD, will present "Watch Your Step: 10 Common Legal Pitfalls for the HR Professional."  In addition to discovering what those pitfalls are, you will learn how to handle them in ways that minimize your risk and strengthen your partnership with the in-house legal team. By the conclusion, you will have a number of concrete steps for dealing with these risks and increasing the value of the human resource department to your company.

 

The Legal Exchange Conference will conclude with an afternoon panel discussion on the topic of "Employee Arrests: What Do I Do Now?" The panel will take an in-depth look at the issue of employee arrests from many different prospectives, including that of an HR professional, a corporate security professional, a public relations professional, a management-side attorney and an employee-side (plaintiff’s) attorney.
