Human Resources 2 YOU

For the last year, a focus of Texas SHRM has been to heighten the awareness and recognition of quality Human Resources to the general business community, and serve as the voice of HR in the State. Our Legislative Action committee has been very active in following, educating and taking positions on Texas legislation that affects an employer’s workforce. Our Marketing committee has stepped up activity and is seeing a significant increase in social media responses and views. We are seeing more visits to our Texas SHRM website and our Chapter membership has been increasing over the past quarter year.

Human Resources 2 YOU is an initiative that will bring active Human Resource professionals and specialist together with the business community to further expand their knowledge of how strong HR professionals and HR departments can best be utilized to impact the bottom line of their organization. The initiative includes virtually everything one might need to make a presentation to a professional industry association, a networking group, an alumni organization or any group of individuals who may have cursory knowledge of Human Resources. "Human Resources 2 YOU" is an intentional double entendre...not only do we want to bring HR to outside groups, but we know HR means different things to different people.
