DallasHR DallasHR enjoyed seeing a SOLD OUT crowd for the February 2012 lunch meeting. The Success and Servant Leadership topic was presented by Chris Willis and Henry Rogers at Interstate Batteries. DallasHR Staff put a personal touch on the meeting by making small bags of candy and placing them on the table for each member and guest at the meeting. They were a great way to say, "Thank you," and 'You are special to us!" We look forward to another big crowd in March when Margo Parker presents Developing a Strategic Leadership Team! Way to go DallasHR! DallasHR Workforce Readiness supports the ESGR event! DallasHR Workforce Readiness committee is busy working on the upcoming Job Fair and Job Workshops February 29, at the Joint Naval Base in Fort Worth (formerly Carswell Air Force Base). The event is sponsored by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and we are working again with Gary Owens, Regional Program Manager. Committee members will make four presentations to service personnel on workforce readiness. At this event, the ESGR has requested we present one topic at four different times to ensure we are able to interface with as many service members as possible. The topic will be Resume Preparation, Key Words for Electronic Submission, and the use of Social Media. DallasHR Community Relations team is working with LaunchAbility! The Community Relations committee has teamed up with Launchability for FUNFEST 2012! The 20 DallasHR volunteers will host games, activity stations, serve food and refreshments for attendees. Our team will be collecting Easter eggs, soft candy (jelly beans and Starburst), and small gift bags at our next membership meeting. The event is scheduled for April 5.
