Mid-Tex Human Resource Management Association
November Monthly Chapter Luncheon

INVITATION ONLY

On behalf of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Mid-Tex Human Resource Management Association (Mid-Tex HRMA), I would like to invite you to be my guest at the monthly chapter luncheon on Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

I am Sherry Johnson, SHRM field services director (AR, LA, MS, OK, TX). I am excited to have the opportunity to meet with Brownwood-area SHRM members and be the guest presenter for the November monthly meeting. My presentation, Best Practices in Talent Management Strategy, has been pre-approved for one SHRM professional development credit (PDC) for re-certifying the SHRM-CPSM and SHRM-SCPSM credentials; and, it is also approved for one HR (general) re-certification credit by the HR Certification Institute.

Topic Information

Do you have an effective strategy in place to meet your critical talent needs over the next five or 10 years? If not, you are probably as concerned as the CEOs in many surveys who worry they will not have the talent they need to compete in a recovering global economy. In this presentation, you will explore the main demographic and other drivers of the global competition for critical talent, four components of an effective talent management strategy, and best practices case studies of Lockheed Martin and SAS.

Following my talent management presentation, I’ll address your questions, as time permits, regarding the new SHRM certification based on HR competencies.

This will be a perfect opportunity for you to ask questions about SHRM, to build your professional network, and to enhance your personal and professional development.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov, 12, 2015, from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at TSTC located at 305 Booker Street, Brownwood, Texas, 76801.

To register for the event, please email Ruth Willis at membership@brownwoodchamber.org no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9. Please reference your special promotion code SJ2015; this will confirm your registration as my guest!

Space for the monthly chapter luncheon is limited and registration will be confirmed on a first-come/first-served basis. This invitation is non-transferable.

Questions? Please contact Ruth Willis at (325) 646-9535 or by email at membership@brownwoodchamber.org or visit the Mid-Tex HRMA chapter website.

I hope to see you there!
