Conference Committee Update

Well, what a start to 2020 it has been already. A great friend posted on Facebook over the weekend,
"Christmas 2019: What if someone told you that in January an assassination nearly starts WW3, in February Australia would burn, and in March a worldwide virus would hit a tipping-point and public life would shut down nearly completely?"
I know I wouldn’t have predicted any of these things. I also wouldn’t have predicted our TAGITM Annual Conference would be postponed because of this virus. Not in my wildest dreams. While it would be easy for me to have feelings of being a "jinx" to the organization, I can’t go there. This is the classic example of one of those things you can’t control.
Please know the Board of Directors has not taken this action lightly. Of course, by now their hand would have been forced. I am proud of the Board for making the right decision in advance of being made to do so. The Board, and our incredible CMP team, is working hard to find alternate dates, but that’s almost impossible right now, given the current situation. As soon as it’s feasible, the Board will try to find the best possible solution while keeping public health and safety in mind, as well as the needs of this entire organization.
I wish this note were talking about all the education and fun we would be having in less than a month, but that’s just not the case right now. Until then, be safe and take care of yourself and your people!
