As I began to write this article, I realized that every single one I’ve written over the last year has been done at midnight – or later. I think that’s a testament to the workload in the life of an I.T. Professional these days. I’m sure everyone reading this can relate!
Last week, we held the TAGITM annual business meeting. It was our first meeting held virtually – over Zoom. While it is usually held during our conference, that wasn’t possible this year. In my opinion, and yes, I am a bit biased, it went extremely well. It was very well attended and a lot of good information was shared. Additionally, it allowed us to get comfortable with hosting a meeting virtually for our association. We only have the business meeting once per year, but I would like to encourage all our members to attend future meetings. It’s always good to hear how TAGITM has performed over the last year from a financial and strategic standpoint. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes to make our association as great as it is.
Planning for the virtual conference is still in the works for September 1 – 3. We hope to have the agenda available for everyone very soon! Also, by the end of the month, we plan to launch the new TAGITM website. The current site has served us very well for several years. But – it’s time for an upgrade. There will be a lot of information coming your way in the next few weeks, so stay tuned.
I hope you all have a great month!
