Will it ever end? The COVID-19 pandemic seems to have no end in sight. It will end, it just doesn’t seem like it at times. COVID-19 has impacted us all, personally and professionally, including TAGITM. As you know, the 2020 Annual Conference had to be postponed and moved to a virtual format. Postponing the conference was a scary proposition for many reasons, not to mention the potentially huge impact on our financial position. The Annual Conference is our largest revenue producer every year. By the way, have you signed up for the Virtual Conference? It’s free! The dates are September 1–3. If you haven’t registered yet, please go to the all-new TAGITM website and sign up. The virtual platform that has been assembled should allow for some great learning, as well as opportunities to discuss various solutions and offerings with our partners.
Back to financials…I am glad to report to you all that we are in good shape. Lindy and CMP have done an amazing job putting together our first-ever Virtual Annual Conference. The marketing they have done to our Industry Partners has been excellent and has allowed us to exceed expectations in terms of sponsorships and revenue. This has left TAGITM in a good financial position for this year, which is pretty incredible considering the circumstances. I don’t want to bore you all with specific numbers, but rest assured TAGITM is positioned to come through this pandemic with a decent financial standing. We couldn’t do this without the many sponsors and Industry Partners.
I believe it is critical we get as many members to attend the virtual conference as possible, including visiting the virtual Exhibit Hall and spending time with our sponsors. I can assure you there will be some solutions that will help you get through this next year. Our sponsors count on the conference as a way to generate a significant portion of their leads within Texas, and we want them to continue coming back to TAGITM and making the Annual Conference possible. They will only do that if the time and money pays off. Register for the conference, make some plans to have virtual appointments in the Virtual Exhibit Hall and help support our partners and the long-term health of TAGITM.
