Dana Sons Announced as City of Brownwood’s New IT Director

Dana Sons accepted the position of Director of Information Technology for the City of Brownwood on May 2, after retiring from K-12 education. Mrs. Sons previously served K-12 public education, state and local government as a technology director, manager, network administrator, database administrator, and technician.
Dana is a very motivated individual and sets goals for achievement. She shared that she has a desire to continually learn and grow and share knowledge to help others. Currently, Dana holds a BS in Management Information Systems and Ethics and an MBA. She will complete her MA in Leadership in August 2022. She is excited to join the City of Brownwood team and serve the citizens of Brownwood. Please join us in welcoming Dana and congratulating her on her new position.
