Happy August in Texas! I hope you all are staying cool, healthy and destressed (not distressed). Things are definitely happening in the world of TAGITM.
First, the new TAGITM website was launched a few weeks ago. Those that worked on this project did an outstanding job – so hats off to Jennifer Frescaz at the City of Midland, the TAGITM Communications Committee and CMP Management for their tireless work on this project. It has a modern, sleek look, redesigned navigation, and flashy graphics. Be sure to take a look and let us know if you see anything that was missed, or just to let those that worked on the project know how great they did.
One of the best features of our new website is the link to register for the Virtual Conference, which is September 1–3. This is going to be a great virtual show for our association and partners. On the website, you’ll find a link to register, as well as the agenda for the three-day event. September will be here before you know it, so plan now to attend as many of the sessions as you can fit in to your schedule.
Lastly, I’d like to recognize some of our members for an outstanding project. The Cities of Allen, University Park, and Forney have entered into a joint agreement for I.T. mutual aid. In a time of crisis, member agencies that are a part of this inter-local agreement can share resources to support each other. This type of collaboration represents the foundation for what TAGITM is built upon, and I’m extremely grateful for our members that take the initiative to make things such as this become reality. So, to Eric Matthews, Neil Cardwell and Dale Harwell – you’ve done a great thing with this agreement and I hope it continues to grow among all our agencies across the state.
Have a great summer, and I’ll talk to everyone September 1.
